Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Temporary Safety Professional for a 5-month assignment in Long Beach, CA. This position will play a vital role in supporting safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a robust safety culture within a dynamic operational setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily safety inspections and job site audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Identify hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee safety training sessions.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and compliance records.
- Partner with site leadership to reinforce safe work practices and policies.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols across all teams.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a safety role (construction, manufacturing, or industrial preferred).
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Experience conducting incident investigations and safety audits.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and influence teams in a fast-paced environment.
- OSHA 30 certification required (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Certifications such as CHST, ASP, or CSP.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Monday - Friday, 1st shift
